Father Timothy Cook was born and raised in Flagstaff, Arizona – the third of eight children.  He moved to Michigan in 2006 for school, studying Classical Greek at Hillsdale College. Together with his now-wife, Presvytera Catherine, he was received into the Orthodox Church on Lazarus Saturday, 2008, at Holy Ascension Orthodox Church (OCA) in Albion, MI. Father and Presvytera were married in 2009 – also at Holy Ascension – before their senior year at Hillsdale.

Father Timothy received his B.A. in Classical Studies from Hillsdale College in 2010, and with the blessing of His Eminence, Metropolitan Nicholas, moved to Boston to continue his studies at Holy Cross School of Theology.

While in Boston, Fr. Timothy served as the protopsalti (head chanter) at Taxiarchae Greek Orthodox Church in Watertown, MA until he completed his course of study in 2014, receiving his Masters of Divinity from Holy Cross in May of that year.

He was ordained to the Diaconate by His Eminence, Metropolitan Nicholas of Detroit, at St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Southgate, Michigan, on Sunday, August 10th, 2014, and then to the Priesthood on Saturday, August 16th, 2014.

Fr. Timothy was assigned to the parish of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Saginaw, Michigan, on Sunday, August 17th, 2014, where he continues to serve with his wife, Presvytera Catherine, and five children: Antonia, Georgiana, Theodore, Matthias, & Basil.
